We are living in the lower level apartment at 724 Cottonwood. There is no home mail delivery in Valdez - probably because of all the snow - so everyone has a PO Box. It is a small Post Office with lots and lots of boxes. We are #2449 just in case you want to write. The apartment is very nice - much bigger than we expected. Our "landlords", Terry and John Folsom, are terrific. Terry is a retired English teacher; John was also a teacher and now works as a Veterinary Assistant at the clinic. They have two Golden Retrievers, Millie and Copper. She is about 10 months old, and he's a rescue, maybe 5 or so. It is great to have dogs in the house, although it makes us miss ours even more. Their house is at the edge of town, literally, and backs up to a mountain bordered by a good (so we've heard) hiking trail. Exploring it - with our bells, bear mace, and loud singing voices - is on the agenda for the weekend.
